In 1974, John and Tommy Underwood started a business to recover and move pool tables. As they travelled the length and breadth of the country they could see that there was a huge demand for professional quality tables. The sport was becoming increasingly popular in the UK and the British public was far more aware of the game and keen to explore an alternative to the more traditional snooker and billiards.

Working on a business plan to take advantage of this disparity between supply and demand, John and Tommy started manufacturing pool tables just three years later. From day one, demand outstripped supply and the two men found themselves working flat out just to keep up with orders. The business has expanded continuously over the last 30 years until today the company is now one of the largest pool table manufacturers in Europe.
Through investment in design and an unwavering commitment to quality, the company is continually striving to improve their pool tables and snooker tables to produce a superior product that provides a perfect playing surface for both amateur and professional players. The company’s 30,000 sq. ft manufacturing facilities is one of the most modern in Europe, specialising in the production of quality pool and snooker tables including American pool tables, pool dining tables and outdoor pool tables. The company is the retail division of DPT Snooker, the largest manufacturer of UK pool tables in Europe.

The company is still family owned and controlled and its commitment to quality, service and value is still the same today as it was when the company started over 30 years ago.
