The History behind DPT Snooker
In 1974 John and Tommy Underwood decided to start a company to recover and move pool tables. As they travelled around the U.K. in a van recovering pool tables for weeks at a time they began to see the demand for new pool tables.
So in 1977 they manufactured their first pool tables, during that year they found they could not produce enough pool tables to equal the demand from their customers. This was the reason behind them deciding to expand production and over the last 30 years this process has continued to the present day. The company has now grown into one of the largest pool table manufacturers in Europe.
The company is still family owed and controlled and its policy of dedication to quality service and value is still the same today as it was when the company started building pool tables over 30 years ago.
DPT Snooker currently offer three different types of pool table - coin operated, freeplay and pool dining tables.
Coin Operated Pool Tables – within the DPT Snooker coin operated pool table range there are three different designs – the Omega coin operated pool table, the Ascot coin operated pool table and the Outback coin operated pool table.
Freeplay Pool Tables – within the DPT Snooker freeplay pool table range there are seven different designs – the Elegance freeplay pool table, the Elite freeplay pool table, the Monarch freeplay pool table, the Omega freeplay pool table, the Outback freeplay pool table, the Unique freeplay pool table and the Folding freeplay pool table.
Pool Dining Tables – within the DPT Snooker pool dining tables range there three different designs – the Majestic pool dining table, the Regal pool dining table and the Windsor pool dining table.
