Room Size Guide for Pool Tables
There are many guides available giving advice on the recommended room size for playing pool in, but a lot of them over complicate the matter and can be quite confusing.
Given our knowledge and vast experience in the cue sports industry, we have put together this simplified Room Size Guide to aid you in buying the most suitable of the Pool Tables and Snooker Tables that we have on offer.
Pool Table Sizes
In this guide we only refer to the sizes of Pool Tables that we sell on our site.
Our Pool Tables come in three sizes
- 6ft x 3ft
- 7ft x 4ft
- 8ft x 4.6ft
These measurements refer to the length’s and width’s of the entire tables, the internal playing surface of each respective table is slightly smaller.
Have a look on the Dimensions information on any of our products for detailed sizing information.
What is the ‘standard size’ for a Pool Table?
For use in pubs and clubs, the 7ft x 4ft is traditionally the standard size used, in League matches for example. However if space is tight then it is not uncommon for such commercial settings to use the 6ft x 3ft table.
The American Pool Tables that we sell are reflective of typical American Pool Tables sizes and are available in both 7ft x 4ft and 8ft x 4.6ft sizes.
